Saksham Hospital was one of the first multidisciplinary hospital in the city providing affordable and capable health services. Saksham Hospital was established in April 1999, by late Dr. T R Makhija, an ENT Specialist. He was a surgeon well known not only for his exemplary surgical skills but also as a visionary & an entreprenuer. It was his lifelong mission to provide the best health care possible to the city of his birth.

Dr. Poonam Makhija and Saksham Makhija are striving to carry forward the legacy of empathetic and affordable health care services. They lead a team of 8 in-house and 6 visiting doctors who offer specialised treatment across most of the medical specialties. Saksham has become a symbol of trust in Saharanpur through 23 years of affordable, ethical and outstanding services in various modalities. Dr. Poonam Makhija, a veteran gynaecologist with 30 years of experience looks after the overall operations of the hospital apart from managing her own gynaecological practise. Saksham Makhija, an IIT Delhi and ISB alumnus, works on strategic partnerships and technology transformation of the hospital apart from other ventures.
